1
On the second day we hike up towards Long Lake. The poodles like to take the lead...
2
... but they stop to make sure we humans are keeping up! They never let us get more than a few dozen meters behind.
3
Mindy pauses to enjoy the view. Even Mindy can appreciate the great scenery (or at least all the great smells).
4
Then it’s back to business, leading us up the trail.
5
When Mindy has the energy, she’s seldom far from Taylor. The two poodles are definitely an eye-catching sight on the trail.
6
Bill proudly displays his poodle T-shirt. It says “I love my black standard poodle.” We never doubted that, Bill!
7
We passed several gorgeous, clear blue mountain lakes along the way to our lunch stop.
8
Bill and the poodles line up on a scenic overlook.
9
Who can resist a photo-op like this?
10
Bill asks Taylor how she’s enjoying the hike.
11
Mindy joins the conversation about the adventure.
12
We stop for lunch at Long Lake. Taylor (aka Moose Bear) shows her better side.
13
Bill checks the map to confirm where we are. The poodles just care when they’ll get their lunch.
14
Mindy finds a comfy place to rest in the shade.
15
Bill and Taylor discuss the prospects for fishing in this lake.
16
We continue up the trail to Long Lake. The beautiful views just don’t stop.
17
At Long Lake, Bill does some fishing... and even, some catching.
18
Taylor approves of Bill’s catch.
19
Mindy supervises from the comfort of her custom rest spot.
