Day 3 - Hike from Dusy Basin to Upper LeConte Canyon
Cascading waterfalls down long granite slopes made a stunning backdrop for our descent into LeConte Canyon.

...sixty-seven, sixty-eight, sixty-nine, uh, ... oh darn, I lost count of all the switchbacks going down into LeConte Canyon!

It’s getting warm at these lower elevations, so a well-placed bridge across a creek offers a useful, and entertaining way to cool down...

But we’ve still got more downhill to go first! A long water slide down the granite slab beside us looks like a faster way to descend...!

Mt. Langile becomes a dominant landmark as we count more switchbacks down the hill...

...and finally, we can switchback no more! We’ve reached the bottom of the canyon!

The sparse trees and shallow, rounded bottom allows for nice views up and down the river.
