Days 7 & 8 - Hike from Evolution Lake to Florence Lake
We descend through Evolution Valley, back into forested terrain, and finish with a ferry ride across Florence Lake, complete with a couple of cold ones! (Henry Weinhart’s Root Beers, that is!)

Fast forward after a day of trail hiking down through tree-lined Evolution Valley and San Joaquin River Valley, and we make our last camp by the San Joaquin River. The full moon appears to rise right out of the river.

The wait for our personal ferry gives ample time for a swim.

On our fully-loaded ferry, Margi toasts the group with a nice wet, cool Henry Weinhart’s Root Beer (thanks to Julia!).
